PhyNetPy is committed to empowering researchers and scientists worldwide by providing a state-of-the-art open-source Python framework for advancing phylogenetic network inference methods. Our dedication to innovation and collaboration drives us to push the boundaries of computational biology.
As the lead engineer on the PhyNetPy project, Mark will be the one to answer any technical questions, issues, and contact inquiries. He graduated from Rice University in 2022 with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science.
Dr. Luay Nakhleh is the Dean of Engineering at Rice University, and is the Principal Investigator for the PhyNetPy project. He and his team developed PhyloNet in 2005, which is still a leading software in the phylogenetic community.
Zhi is working toward her Ph.D and has had a large hand in developing the PhyNetPy version of MP-Allop, a parsimony approach for the inference of polyploid networks.
Zhen is working toward her Ph.D and has been developing cutting edge divide and conquer algorithms that are soon to be included in PhyNetPy.
